Latrobe Rockers Gippsland Inc is a community based Rock and Roll dance club based in Victoria's Latrobe Valley. The club promotes, fosters and organises Rock and Roll dances and other activities in the Latrobe Valley region regularly throughout the year.

Rock and Roll dances are held in March, June and September.  The club engages high profile bands or DJs to supply the music at all dances. The major dance for 2011 was our "Winter Dance" held at Kernot Hall Morwell which offers a huge dance floor.  Our next dance will be our Spring Dance with a Footy theme on Saturday 17 Spetember at Lavalla Hall Kosciuszko St Traralgon.  All club functions are held in a friendly and comfortable non-smoking environment.

Our club has a reputation of friendliness and welcomes other clubs to our functions. In the interest of safety of other dancers, our club requests that aerials or jumps are not undertaken on the crowded social dance floor.

The Latrobe Rockers have donated several thousand of dollars to local charities and project over the past several years from money raised from dances. Also many member participate in dance demonstrations throughout the year a various venues such as the Maryvale Paper Mill open day and Nursing homes around the Latrobe Valley.  These demo which member do on a volentory basis are held to encourage people to think of dancing as an alternative form of excercise and socialising with people.
Latrobe Rockers Gippsland support Valley Rock dancing lessons that cater for beginners and intermediates. The lessons are conducted each Monday evening by Valley Rock at the Morwell RSL, Elgin St, Morwell from 8pm.

Practice nights are held once a month at the Morwell RSL also.

Latrobe Rockers Gippsland also host a hosts Radio Show on Gippsland FM 104.7 at 5:30pm on Fridays.  Listen in to some favourite rock and roll music and find out what's happening on the Rock and Rolls scene around Gippsland.
